Cute Audrey

Audrey's name

Audrey's name is old English for 'noble strength' (also used in French-speaking countries - think Audrey Hepburn, who was Belgian, and the French actress Audrey Tautou). Her middle name, Dewi (pronounced deh-wee), is Indonesian for 'goddess'. When I chose her name I jokingly told people that I didn't have time to look beyond 'a' in the dictionary, but truth is I wanted to choose a name that meant 'strength of character' and that's exactly what Audrey means.

Both her first and middle names reflect her mixed heritage too, and together I think a strong, noble goddess is a very romantic and thoughtful name!
